The paradise was indeed a breath-taking place, with colourful flowers, sparkling waterfalls, and other butterflies fluttering about. Carl was in awe, but he soon realized that something was amiss. The butterflies in Butterfly Paradise seemed to be focused only on their appearances, constantly preening their wings and bragging about their beauty. They ignored Carl, who looked plain as a caterpillar. Feeling disappointed, Carl approached Queen Bella and asked her why outer beauty was so important in Butterfly Paradise. Queen Bella explained that the butterflies there had forgotten the true value of inner beauty, kindness, and curiosity. She thanked Carl for reminding her of these important qualities and bestowed upon him a special gift. With a wave of her wings, Queen Bella transformed Carl into a magnificent butterfly with wings of various colours.
